Citibank opens its largest branch in the UK
Citibank is opening its largest UK branch in Hanover Square in the heart of London’s West End on 14 April 2008; hot on the heels of opening a new branch in St Paul’s in the City of London in February.
The branch offers a full range of banking, saving and wealth management services and is o pen from 9 – 5 Monday to Friday (Wednesdays 10-5). Citibank Hanover Square has a team of personal bankers to assist customers with their day to day banking needs, and a Wealth Management Centre for Citigold customers with a team of 13 relationship managers and investment consultants to help manage more complex financial matters. The branch also boasts internet banking kiosks to allow customers to bank online, a popular feature in Citi’s other branches.
Environmentally friendly materials have been used wherever possible, and an assessment had been carried out to ensure the branch is carbon neutral in line with Citi’s environmental policy.
Bert Pijls, Country Business Manager, Citi UK Consumer, said: “This is the second branch opening for Citi in as many months, indicating our commitment to growth in the UK. Relocating our Oxford Street premises to Hanover Square will give us the opportunity to create a fresh approach to retailing in financial services. Investing in and expanding on our branch base is important as we start to establish Citi as a major player in the UK financial services market.”
Karen Jackson, Hanover Square branch manager, said: “The new Hanover Square branch will allow us to offer customers a better banking experience whilst still being located in the heart of the West End.”
